Was searching the internet regarding Kerry's stance on Iraq since so many say he doesn't flip flop. I found this site and thought it was good for a chuckle Link
I honestly want to know what the lies were that Sen Kerry was referencing in his remarks. I have heard Bush reference Kerry's history of flip flopping. Those weren't lies. If it is about his plans for our taxes, please be specific about what those plans are. I want to hear more from Kerry than Bush bashing and about his Vietnam Vet record. Dole was an honorable veteran. It didn't warrant his becoming president. What is it that Kerry will do for us other than reversing the Bush tax cut...
I don't know how others out there are feeling but I think I am going to have to go in political "time out". The inundation of he said/he said has taken its toll. Terms like neo-con, fascist, and leftie have lost all meaning. I need a break! I have felt a responsibility to educate myself on the political issues at hand and learn as much as possible about the candidates. I feel I am learning nothing except possibly media bias at this point. I think I am going to go...
Last night was a very politically poignant night in my opinion. President Bush had his chance to make the speech of his life and in my opinion, he did. He was relaxed, well spoken, emotional, open about all the issues and, above all to me, seemed like a real, genuine person. Then, at the After Hours show for MSNBC, Janeane Garofalo, comedienne turned actress turned "political commentator" chimes in and spews forth her wacked out (IMO) view that it was all just a scam and she ju...
My main concern in the next presidential election is national security. I am interested in hearing what the two Johns will have to say in this respect in the months to come. So far Senator Kerry strikes me as the teacher who is trying to be buddies with his students yet still wants respect. It just isn't working for me and I am certain it won't work in the eyes of other nations. Whether you agree with Pres Bush or not, he takes a stand and sticks to it. Kerry does not....
The only thing I could teach my son from his latest issue of Time For Kids (March 19,2004) was what reporters should not do. Journalists are supposed to be unbiased. Especially if they are reporting in what is supposed to be an educational publication. This particular publication was distributed by my son's school and paid by guess who.........tax payers like me! The front page is 99% covered by a picture of a smiling John Kerry. A tiny tringle up in the corner has a picture of a troub...
Isn't getting drugs from Canada actually outsourcing US pharmaceutical jobs?
I recieved this in an email from a dear friend. I already checked it out on snopes.com so I figured I would share it. It articulates, from a well experienced military member, the character deficiency that I loathe in Senator Kerry. I cringe every time I hear someone say that Kerry was brave for giving his Senate testimony when he returned from the war. Here you go: Bring it on, John > by Oliver North > > August 27, 2004 > > "Of course, the president ...
I am sickened by the thought of so very many uneducated dolts deciding who will run my country. You have to take a test in order to drive a car. Why not have a test in order to vote? I propose we come up with a basic knowledge requirement to be passed in order to cast a vote. I don't think an IQ test would be the way to go. I am just asking that citizens be required to do their homework when it comes to deciding who will have control of such a powerful position. ...
The left seems to respond to the word "Halliburton" like my mother-in-law responds to the word "fart" (it is what she considers the "f" word). I ask this, what other establishment could and would do Halliburton's job? I am not defending overcharges or any other conduct. I am simply curious as to what the options would be. I often wonder how many people howling "Halliburton this or Halliburton that" even know what Halliburton does. I also think you have to be out of you...
During a card playing get together with some neighbor friends this weekend a couple of heated political discussions got going. One thing that one of the teachers (pro-Kerry thanks to No Child Left Behind) said really irked me and I wanted to hear the insider perspective. The topic was who the military wants as Commander and Chief. She said our military wants Kerry and many others said Bush. She said that polls only show Bush in favor with the military because our soldiers...
I recieved an email today and couldn't find anything on Urban Legends regarding this so I am hoping someone out there might know. The email warned that if Kerry is elected we will have to pay for secret service ....um, service at all of Kerry's homes (that would be 5) for the rest of his life. Is this true? I was aware that Presidents have secret service agents with them at all times and that they are protected by them for the remainder of their life but I didn't know that they we...
I can't say what happens everywhere but I will share what I have observed here in suburban Detroit. I do a lot of driving around due to the fact that I have two young boys. I see a lot of bumper stickers during my local taxiing. My observations are as follows: I see Kerry/Edwards signs mostly on tiny beatup foreign cars. I see Bush/Cheney signs on American vehicles (mostly SUVs and trucks) and the only hybrid I have seen in this area has a W in '04 magnet on it....
I remember hearing the other day one reporter (can't remember who) commenting that Kerry's testimony in the 70s regarding the atrocities committed by soldiers in Vietnam included him speaking with some weird accent he didn't have when they were growing up together and he hasn't had since. Tonight, I was listening to the TV in the background while Bush and Kerry spoke to crowds wishing Clinton a speedy recovery regarding his heart surgery and heard something I couldn't believe- Kerry uttere...
Why does it seem like we are all so inclined to pick a side and and dig in, defend it and block out anything that comes from "the other side"? It is obviously the case in U.S. politics these days. You pick a party/candidate and only listen to points coming from their "side". Everyone denies they do it but most get caught doing exactly that. It isn't just politics though. If you aren't ready to declare your support of gay marriage then you're a homophobe. If...
