I had a procedure similar to Therasphere, called Sir-spheres. It has helped to reduce the size and number of tumors in my liver (no longer active disease) and keep things stable. I'm glad you friend's procedure has worked so well!!!
I was going to say much of what Karma already said. I would just add that I find it's not a good idea to just show up at a salon by not requesting somebody. If you don't ask for a particular stylist (from word of mouth) you will be put with (most of the time) a newbie that has no clientel with a very clean schedule or maybe somebody that just shouldn't be in the business to begin with. All the good stylists are going to have full calendars.

I remember distinctly having my very very bad cut only I knew it was bad before I left the Salon but not totally aware how bad until I got home. She kept cutting more and more talking the whole time telling me how cute it was. It was like she was trying to talk me into believing her. I think she kept botching it and had to keep cutting it shorter and shorter until it was out of control for her.

When I went to work the next day my bad cut was so obvious the manager took one look at me and said "what happened to you?"

That was not a good day. I now only go on recommendations.

Well, summer is coming so maybe getting it cut shorter into a bob would be the way to go. That way it will grow out evenly.

The rest of the whole mess will be resolved by time. (Hubby coming home, hair growing out, cold passing.) It seems like I chant "this too shall pass" a lot lately, however that is mostly related to my 2-year-old.

Remember to tell them how much time and money (perm, coloring, etc.) that you invested into the hair that they cut off instead of giving you a trim as you instructed. Also explain that, even though you have obviously permed hair, the stylest styled it differently to cover up the cut.

Is this where you go all the time? If so, then you have even more clout by telling them that they need to compensate or you'll find another salon.
