The adventures of Mommy woman
Published on September 3, 2004 By JillUser In Politics

I remember hearing the other day one reporter (can't remember who) commenting that Kerry's testimony in the 70s regarding the atrocities committed by soldiers in Vietnam included him speaking with some weird accent he didn't have when they were growing up together and he hasn't had since.  Tonight, I was listening to the TV in the background while Bush and Kerry spoke to crowds wishing Clinton a speedy recovery regarding his heart surgery and heard something I couldn't believe- Kerry uttered the word "ya'll"!

Kerry has been trying to ride both sides of the fence on all the issues and now he is trying to be a good old boy!  He, in my opinion, is nothing genuine.  He is whoever he thinks his audience at the time wants him to be.  It reminds me of the wise words my parents told me when I was in Jr High, they told me that you can either be true to yourself or you can be popular.  You can't be both.

There might be a lot of people who don't like George W Bush but I feel he is a genuine person who is true to his convictions.  There will never be a president you will agree with on every issue.  I might not agree with Bush on every single issue out there but I know where he stands, respect him and I have great confidence in his cabinet.

Kerry is at the point where he has to decide who he really is, where he stands and show it.  I don't really expect that to happen though.

I'm sure Kerry only practiced his speech 34 times though. I can't believe that there's even a debate as to who's the better candidate.

There will always be a debate at who is best at debating, in other words the person is the MASTER DEBATER.

Or that person is at least a Cunning Linguist (and yes I know they got used in Goldmember, but damn these jokes have been around a lot longer than that movie.)

The sense of humor is the first to go, when liberalism sets in
funny because it is true!  Actually, I think the first thing to go is any shread of respect for anyone with an apposing view.

Boy, I go to a Labor Day party and things get ugly around here!  Not that I am surprised.

Pk, if you think that our president took us to war in Iraq to "get rich" and you can't see any reason for taking out Saddam, I see you as a lost cause.  You sound like someone who has had their brain washed clean already.  I would have respect for your side if you stuck to dismay over the economy but when you start calling the president "dim witted" and suggest that I would vote for someone just because I don't like the democrats, you have lost your cause.

Jill,
I can see LOTS of reasons for taking out Saddam. He was a rotten evil tyrant. They way we did it, when we did it and the so called reasons why we did it is what bothers me.
It seems to me that YOU have the issue with those that disagree with your points of view. As long as we post silly pics and comment on how a goofy picture makes one unsuitable for office than everything is OK. But if one writes and argues that the current president in no intellectual wizard then all of a sudden I have no respect for any one with an opposing opinion! Give me a break - go back to that party and drink some more!

"De Oppresso Liber" motto of the United States Special Forces means "To Liberate the Oppressed" all the reason we need there in a simple motto to take out Saddam |Madd as hehehe

I respect your views Jill and I am a democrat. And you can pick on me for it if you'd like.  Oh wait, you and your hubby already do  and I take it well from my republican counterweights

pk, you just can't get anything straight.  I am not the one that posted a picture.  That was posted as a comment.  I argued that Kerry is trying to pull the wool over the eyes of voters which shows he doesn't have much respect for their intellect.

I didn't resort to calling Kerry names or questioning his patriotism or any of that malarchy.  I feel quite confident that you are not qualified to deem President Bush as "dim witted".  You spew forth talking points with nothing to back it up.  Most people who cry "Halliburton is evil" know nothing about the company and what it does.

C&H, you are a prime example of how I don't hate democrats.  You are among some of our very dearest friends and many are democrats.  Anyone who has a well thought out reason for their stance has my respect.  I am mature enough to know that other people might see things that I don't.  Life would be a very boring place otherwise.

I'm sure there are plenty of humorous pictures of George W. Bush. Hell, he looks like a monkey!

For sure!  His eyes are way too close together and he can never seem to control his mouth (in more than one way).  Just like things people say can get construed when taken out of context, you can make someone look any way you want if you collect enough images of them.

Now all we need is for GWB to say about how the chimpanzees need rights and that the guerillas should not have more say than the chimpanzees just because they are the military, but of course orangutans in politics just bog down the system for chimpanzees.
