The adventures of Mommy woman

I noticed today that the time stamp on messages is seriously messed up on Outlook.  How does that happen?  What, if anything, can I do about it?  It is just really weird to send a message at 7PM and get a response right back that says it was received at 5:30AM!

Have you checked the clock on your PC?

Time Zone thing?
Larry Kuperman's probably right, but this could be a symptom of a CMOS battery going bad.

It's a brand new laptop.  I had checked the clock right away and it was off by an hour but that doesn't explain the wonky times it is reading on the emails.

There is free software that corrects this problem, I had the same problem last summer. Can't remember what it is called now but search Google.

It could be why.

Outlook uses it's own system when scheduling meetings based on GMT, and if your clock is incorrect (say not using the "adjust for daylight savings"), then Outlook may not adjust correctly.

Have you set the clock to the correct time and sent test E-mails to attempt reproduction of the issue?

Have you tried synchronizing your time with the internet time sever to see if this resolves the issue?

Thanks so much! This helped me discover that although my computer was set correctly on Eastern time, Outlook was set to Pacific. Should be good to go now.

Thanks all!
