For anyone who isn't familiar with Michigan, there is a saying here, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute." It is so true! Thanksgiving day it was 17 degrees and we had plenty of snow on the ground. Two days later it was up to 62! Now it is back down to 29 and falling.
I am one who would prefer the snow over rainy gloom any day. My problem is what the back and forth weather does to my sinuses. I think any sinus sufferer will agree that they don't like pressure change, dryness or any combination. I am better off if it just gets cold and stays that way.
A lot of people are sniffling right now but I wonder how many just have whacked out sinuses. I sure do! I'll be fine as long as I avoid it going into my ears. I am 35 and I still get ear infections (lucky me). When that happens I usually get both ears and sinuses infected and then I am really miserable.
I am a big fan of Tylenol Sinus Daytime. It is one of the only sinus treatments that doesn't make me either conk out or feel really loopy. I stopped by the market the other day and they were out so I tried Excedrin Sinus. If you haven't tried it, let me save you the bother, it sucks! It is totally useless!
So if you are coming to Michigan any time soon and have sinus problems, stock up on Tylenol Sinus and bring your humidifier. Better bring both snow and rain gear too It is beginning to look like Christmas here...today. Might look like Easter tomorrow. You just never know.
