The adventures of Mommy woman
Maybe I'm just dull

Maybe it's because I think of my cell phone as just another tool I use to get through each day, but I really don't see the big hoopla over ringtones.  I picked one of the rings that came with my phone.  I can see why you wouldn't want everyone's phone ringing the same way since that causes the, "everyone check to see if it's yours" problem.  But that is the extent of my interest in ringtones.

I am aware people shop for songs to use as their ringtone.  I've seen the commercials telling me I have to basically pick a theme song for myself.  I don't really have time for all of that.  If I can remember to have my phone with me and charged, I'm good.

I agree.  My cell phone is a tool. I dont need it whistling dixie at me when I get a call.

My theme song switches from she's a rebel to punk rock girl. There are other songs that might fit better but they aren't available through my carrier. I have custom ring tones for my husband and my friends. I want a new better phone so I can actually have the actual songs. Lots of songs just don't translate very well to ringtones. Especially when they get the tempo wrong, that drives me crazy. I don't know when I got to be a gadgety girl but that's definately me now.

Basically if I like my ringtone, it makes me smile when the phone rings. A phone ringing doesn't make me smile but a favorite song as my ringtone does.

But if you're not into ringtones, that's okay. My favorite is the old fashioned phone. That one always cracks me up.

I do get a kick out of that one.

I'm not damning anyone who is into that I just am not.

My personal cell phone used to ring the "A Team" theme, it always got a smile out of anyone who heard it, though most often it stayed on vibrate mode. Now my ringer is the Super Mario Bros theme, but again, it's almost always on vibrate.

Then there's my work cell... vibrate.

Vibrate has to be the best ring in the world... doesn't bother anyone around you!

I also think vibrate is good for when you are in the car with the radio on.

I like the ringtone deal, but I sometimes get annoyed by other peoples' ring tone choices (like when one of my husband's friends left his cell at our house and his wife called like 10 times in the space of an hour and every time the phone played the music to "Let's Get it On").

We only have one cell phone in my family...one car...one cell phone. That arrangement works ok most of the time. I picked the last ring tone, "The Man Who Sold the World" (Nirvana). At least it wasn't something girly.

I have a lot of free time, though. Hehe. I have entertain myself somehow.
