The adventures of Mommy woman
21 Senior Citizens dead
Published on October 3, 2005 By JillUser In Current Events

A very sad incident happened yesterday.  I group of senior citizens from Trenton, MI were on a Fall color tour in New York when the sail boat they were on capsized and 21 perished.  Twenty one people being lost from such a small town is going to have a huge effect on that community.

They don't yet know what happened to cause the boat to flip.  It seemed like absolutely perfect boating conditions.  It happened so fast that noone had time to grab a life vest.  Adults aren't required to wear them at all times.

They haven't released names yet.  I hope I don't know anyone involved.  Seems like there is always a Michigan connection when bad things happen

I just heard on the radio that "most of the passengers were tourists, from Michigan". I have to admit a chill went through me when I heard that after reading your article. I truly hope none of them were people you knew.

All of the ones who died were from Michigan. So far I haven't heard from anyone I know. Horribly sad stories though. There was one husband and wife couple of which only the wife survived. I bet she is wondering why this happened and wishing they were together either way.

What a freak accident!
