The adventures of Mommy woman

Our air contioner wasn't working and I checked everything on the check list they gave us with the unit before calling.  One thing that wasn't on the list and didn't occur to me was to check for signs of freezing.  This little tidbit would have saved the AC guy a trip out and would have saved me about $60.

Aparrently our AC unit has a freon leak and froze up solid.  The guy came out, took one look, switched the unit off and told me he will have to let it melt over the weekend and come back on Monday to see what he can do.  Luckily, the weather just cooled off immensely so we are not likely to need it until after it gets fixed and possibly not until next Summer.

Home ownership, it's always something!

Boy am I ever! I am also glad we have ceiling fans in our house. It got roasty toasty upstairs for a couple of days. I am one of those people who can't sleep if they are hot.

I am liking the cooler weather but am hoping it is a lot warmer tomorrow. We are supposed to have an end of the Summer day at the lake with friends tomorrow. Oh, and a baseball game too.

I feel your pain. I found my back gutter sagging and the boards underneath it rotton. I found myself wishing I had a landlord to call.

Ownership is overrated, I think. If I won the lottery and wanted to live in REAL luxury, I think I'd just find a 4 star hotel and rent a floor permanently...

Ohhh, you're a guy after my own heart! That sounds perfect. I think people who retire to nice condos are on the right track too. Feels like a house but the maintenance is taken care of.

Sorry to hear about you're gutter problems. Just too much can go wrong with a house and it seems to go wrong all at the same time!
