The adventures of Mommy woman
Sick of parasites complaining
Published on February 11, 2004 By JillUser In Blogging
I felt compelled to write this because of all of the recent ragging on Brad that I have seen. Funny thing is, I am quite certain these people would handle things quite differently if it were in person. I feel for Brad because he is providing a very nice service that some ignorant people think is just free for them to tread all over.

Brad is a very busy business owner. He enjoys blog sites and felt he could provide a good one. I feel he has done an excellent job. People can come here for free, read interesting articles, comment, correspond with others, write their own articles and keep their own web log for free. The way I see it, you have no case to complain. If you don't like the site, don't use it. Find another or create your own.

I liken it to experiences I have had with throwing parties for others. You go through a bunch of work at your own expense, on your own time to do something mainly for others and some of them do nothing but complain. What do you then do in the future? Don't give those people parties!

Brad is more fair to people on this site than most people I know would be. I have seen him feature articles that were directly opposing him by name. He gives everyone a voice as long as they don't abuse it. If you don't have anything constructive to say, don't say it or say it only to yourself.

I think Brad has provided a forum for many interesting debates and discussions. I have read articles that got me thinking, boosted my mood and got my blood boiling. No matter what, it has been inspiring. Please, all you whiners, don't spoil it for those of us who appreciate it. I for one want Brad to keep the party going.

When, for
my own selfish reasons
, I decided to start blogging, I looked at
a lot of different blog sites and systems. JoeUser was the
best I saw. In fact, the quality of JoeUser was so far beyond every
other site I saw it's hard to imagine why anyone would want to
go anywhere else.

Personally I think it's an honor for the site owner to comment on
something I've written. Good or bad, at least he thought enough of it
to look at it and to take time to respond. In my book that's no small
thing.

Charles Givens wrote a book called "Super Self" in which he
outlined his philosophies of life. One of those philosophies states
that when you're playing in someone else's ballpark they make the
rules and you will always get broken trying to strain against
them. It's a good lesson to learn. Ultimately, this is Brad's
ballpark and he is the Supreme Court that makes the final decisions.
You may agree with some and disagree with some but ultimately you
have to live with them or move to a new playing field. In terms of
blog sites that would be like moving from America to Pakistan. Why
would you ever want to do that?

Some of these "whiners" must really have a hard go of it in the
rest of their lives if they can't handle this.

I've used a multitude of Blog sites in the past few years, even built a basic one for myself at one point, but thus far JoeUser is the best one I've come across. The site doesn't offer all the best technical features I'm used to in a blog, doesn't have the bells, whistles and such that you see on sites such as LiveJournal, but what it does offer beats any other site hands-down. There's a community here. While I may not agree with the views expressed by roughly half the people here, I respect them (unless they're hateful or blatantly inflamatory in nature), and I feel that people here in turn respect me (even if they don't agree). An example of the quality of this community is evident in my recent posts seeking help in the job hunt. I've gotten (generally) extremely helpful and serious feedback from people, which is something I couldn't expect on most blog sites.

Community is king, and whatever it takes to keep this community (mostly) civil and mature, I support completely.

This is my first experience with a blog site. Never really understood them much, maybe I still don't, but thus far it has been very interesting for me. Enough to keep me coming back. To try to stay on the topic, I can only say to JillUser, I don't appreciate habitual whining myself. I won't condemn it, because I have done my share. But I think ( and I hate to say this) but these "whiners" if there are any ser5ious ones here, are part of what makes Joeuser what it is. This is such a diverse community, it's just...pretty cool.

I like Brad, too! (even though I don't agree with many of his political views.)

I may disagree Brad on few issues, but all his arguments is reasonable.

Hmm I feel a blog coming to me. Not today, however.
