The adventures of Mommy woman

Those of you who read my blog (poor souls) know that I had a great amount of anxiety over my son's 2nd grade trip to COSI Toledo last week.  Well, things went really well.  I saw him onto the bus and his little brother and I followed in our mini-van.

I made the right decision to go though.  The trip was a free-for-all.  No organized assembly at all.  We met up, split up, did whatever we felt like until we met for lunch, split up again, did whatever for a couple of more hours, then left.  There were tons of other school groups there doing the same thing and some of them were big, rambunctious kids who did some damage to some of the littler ones.

COSI had some fun stuff like a demonstration of static electricity, a bike that has a 275lb counter balance that you can ride across a cable about 15ft above the lower level, a robot, and much more.  It was fun for all ages and even the food at the atomic cafe was good.

A good time was had by all....thank goodness!

I'm glad you went and glad you had fun. How was the weather? I know you have had some bad weather up in that area of the country.

The weekend before the trip was really bad but the weather was nice (other than being about 4 degrees out) for the trip.  I don't have an improved opinion of the buses though.  In order to get there the buses had to go down by the waterfront and park in back of the museum on the lower level (the upper level was street level) and th first bus almost slid right up to the water!  Those buses were speeding and switching lanes like crazy!

I love the free-for-all area where it's really open and kids can just throw things (it's when you first walk in street level).

COSI is really cool and it's huge! My boyfriend and I spent the entire afternoon there. There was so much to do.

I've never heard of COSI...my b/f is from Toledo...we were there last summer. I'll be visiting there again in March..maybe I can ask him about it.
