The adventures of Mommy woman
Earl Hindman dies at 61

I know Home Improvement has been off the air for some time now (other than in repeats) but it saddened me to find out that the kindly neighbor partly hidden by the fence is now gone forever. Wilson was my favorite character. I just loved his eccentric wisdom. The thought of having a neighbor that always greeted you with a kindly "hidey-ho!" was fun and comforting.

I have wonderful neighbors myself. Tim could run anything by Wilson and he would give him a bit of nonjudgemental advice. Who wouldn't want that?!

Mr Hindman died of lung cancer on 12/29. Tim Allen took the comic angle and said this about him, "As much as I loved him, I didn't understand why Earl refused to wear pants while behind the fence."

That's really too bad. I really enjoyed watching him on TV.

Ah, that is sad. I hadn't heard he had passed away. I always enjoyed his Wilson charactor as well.

I always assumed that he didn't wear pants

That is sad that he is gone. I hadn't heard that, either.
