The adventures of Mommy woman

I can't say what happens everywhere but I will share what I have observed here in suburban Detroit.

I do a lot of driving around due to the fact that I have two young boys.  I see a lot of bumper stickers during my local taxiing.

My observations are as follows:
I see Kerry/Edwards signs mostly on tiny beatup foreign cars.  I see Bush/Cheney signs on American vehicles (mostly SUVs and trucks) and the only hybrid I have seen in this area has a W in '04 magnet on it.

I have never seen a Kerry/Edwards sign of any kind at the christian preschool my youngest attends.  I see no bumper stickers of any kind in my neighborhood, other than the occasional "My child is an honor student" sign.

I abhor bumper stickers. But it is interesting social commentary on the kinds of cars that different kinds of supporters drive.

This is slightly off subject but what the hell, it's my blog   I was watching some of the talking heads following the last debate and saw a sign that said "God is not freedom of religion".  Can anyone tell me what the heck that is supposed to mean?

I find it interesting that people who support the anti-outsourcing candidate drive cars from foreign companies.

Are you aware that many foreign cars are actually manufactured here in the states? Are you also aware that this is providing jobs to pepole here in the US? If I were to buy a new car, it would most likely be a foreign vehicle, because the build quality is generally much better than an American car...although Dodgle/Chrysler has been putting out some very decent products in the last few years.

As for bumper stickers...it seems that in my region of the country (45 miles NE of Denver, CO) I see a LOT of Kerry/Edwards stickers and signs. Maybe in the ratio of about 5 for every two Bush promotions. This county is a very broad mix of small city (two cities of 200,000 or so) and agriculture, so there is a wide range of types of people that live here.

I have a sticker with Homer Simpson pointing to his ass,

Hah! I have that same sticker on the window of my car! The only sticker I'll put on there save my "First Generation Honda Civic Owner's Club" sticker I designed.

Huh?

Better not come any where near Detroit with that attitude.  People around here will by foreign cars but only because they cost less.

I'll jump in with my recent favorite, which manages to be both obtuse and on target (at least in today's America) at the same time:

Orwell Was An Optimist
