The adventures of Mommy woman

Since my first born was a preschooler we have moved into a new home.  I had such a great time during his preschool years.  Blues Clues was a daily ritual and the house was always covered with toys.  It was never quiet because he was always singing little songs or talking to and with his toys.

Now my "baby" is 4.  He is watching Blues Clues and playing similar games as big brother.  Bigger house, more toys but same fun.  He is talking to his cars right now and was singing B I N G O earlier.  I love it!  They are so much fun at this age!

For the last year I had been deliberating over whether or not I wanted a 3rd child.  I know for a fact now that I do.  The positives far outway the negatives.  The selfish indulgences that I was thinking I would miss out on are things that I will have the rest of my life to partake of.  The "sacrifices" are far fewer than the benefits.

So I am hoping that I will get to experience these wonderful feelings one more time.  I am trying to get myself in top health prior to trying to get pregnant.  My boys talk a lot about wanting a baby.  What a wonderful thing it would be for the whole family.

Sure, I'll be at least 52 by the time this child graduates school but I know a lot of older parents who seem very young for their age.  I think having kids around keeps you young as long as you still take care of yourself.  Besides, I can't imagine my home without crayons and hotwheels and Blues Clues.

Wow! That is so great! Your boys seem lucky to have a mom that loves them so much and enjoys them! I wish you the best, and hope to hear of that positive test soon!

What a fun read. Thanks for sharing that with us Jill. Best of luck in your future plans. There just isn't anything in the world like the sound of children playing.

I've exchanged the Blues Clues for Spongebob and Teen Titans, but I still have Hot Wheels and crayons.

If I could, I'd have another.  Unfortunately, I can't...so I'll just have to use our puppy as a substitute baby instead!

My 7yr old is really into Teen Titans and both love Spongebob (me too I must admit).

About the puppy, I figure that is probably the route I will go once I know I am done with babies.

Janders and BlueDev, thanks for the kind words!

This is precious, Jill. I'll bet your house is so fun. Children are such a blessing. My husband and I are planning to have another baby in the near future. I'd like to have add some Barbie Dolls and hair bows to the mess. Best wishes to you with the baby-making.

My kids LOVE Teen Titans . . . do your boys sing along with the theme song, too? Our kids seem alike in so many ways!

My kids sing that song all the time!  Our boys do sound like they would get along really well.  I wouldn't mind having a girl either but am just hoping for a healthy baby.

My kids all do...Shea does a really good high pitched "teen titans!" We had them sing it to us on a particularly boring stretch of highway on the road from SD to IN....even I like TT now!

I think our kids would all do really well together....we could have a 'JU Junior' party!
