The adventures of Mommy woman
My now 7yr old was so easy to potty train. At about 2yrs old we bought a couple of potties and he started playing with them. We then got the "Once Upon a Potty" video. He loved the song and just took to it over night.

Our 3yr old is a whole other story. He is hit and miss in a very literal sense. Just the other day he pooped on the floor about 3ft from the potty and said "I missed." I laughed and said "Wow! I guess you did."

I was reading one of my parenting magazines and there was a segment on crazy things kids say. One of them talked about this little boy that was potty training. He excitedly told his dad that he pooped in the potty. His dad said "Great! You better wipe." The boy said, "I already did. I used your sock." That just killed me because I can definitely see that happening in my life.

My little guy does great when we are at home and he is naked. He tends to forget otherwise. The most frustrating thing is when we are out, I ask him if he will try to go, he refuses then 10 mins later has an accident. I don't get mad though. I know it isn't easy on him either. I am trying the rewarding for good times and underplaying the accidents since he gets so excited when everyone tells him good job.

I bet potty training is much easier on the nerves than driver training so I am keeping my spirits up knowing I don't have to do that for another 9 or 10 years
