The adventures of Mommy woman

Ryan turned 7 on 7/12 and Star Wars Legos were at the top of his wish list.  My hubby & I got him this Sand Crawler set.  What was I thinking?!  This thing had over 1600 pieces!  Big brother Alex got most of it together in a day but I had to step in and help out when the floor kept falling apart.  To anyone out there who works at Lego....design a sturdier base for these stupid Star Wars sets!!

I see nothing wrong with a Legos obsession at 7!  Or any other age! ;~D

I remember those days! My first two especially were also obsessed with Legos. So much so, that I still have their legos in a big rubbermaid container deep in a closet awating their kids to open it someday. Star Wars was the order of the day for them as well. Not much as changed.

My third boy would get so frustrated with the directions. He never made it past the first two or three steps without crying he couldn't "do it."

Try not to vacum up too many.....lol.

Impressive that they put it all together! Legos is a good obsession, my son is obsessed with video games!! There was a time when he was obsessed with Legos though!

My youngest had it when he was 4!  I think it is neat!   A creative outlet.

hehehe, I was most definitely a Lego obsessed child, and my son followed in my footsteps.  I hate to think of the amount of money my wife and I spent buying Lego sets for him that wound up strewn all over and never able to be re-assembled   (Suffice it to say it would have been enough to pay for plenty of cool video games )

They surely are creative with them. The sets might get assembled in intended fashion once and then they soon get reassembled as ships and all sorts of other crazy stuff. Both are more mechanically inclined than either of their parents. I think that inclination skipped a generation.

Too late! Luckily we have a vac that makes it easy to look for something if you know you sucked it up.

We have container after container of Legos. We aren't the only ones who buy them though. Every birthday and Christmas they sucker grandparents and friends into getting them for them. They drool over Lego catalogs the way my dad does with gun and car digests.

We let the boys go at the Legos all they want but seriously limit the video game time.

Could be much worse obsessions for sure.
