The adventures of Mommy woman

Thank you to all of my JU kids for remembering me on Mother's Day.  My 7yr old made me a wonderful card and wished me Happy Mother's Day all day long.  I also received cards from my Mom, niece, and Mother-in-law and got a call from a family friend.

My hubby watched the boys so I could enjoy a couple of hours at the mall on my own.  I went in all the stores that had breakable stuff that I usually pass by when I have my boys with me.  I even got makeup done at Estee Lauder.  It was a lot of girly fun!

After I finished my "me time" I returned home, cleaned up and my guys took me out for a lovely dinner.  We then went to the playground until it started raining and returned home to watch the final Survivor All Stars.  What a great day start to finish.  I'm a very lucky woman.

That sounds like a lot of fun!!  Mine was spent doing the laundry and cleaning...but I did get to watch a couple of 'chick flicks' yesterday afternoon; 'Calendar Girls' and 'Love, Actually'.  Calendar Girls made me laugh..my mom's been a member of the WI for years and I kept imagining her and her friends taking off their clothes for a nude calendar!

Anyway, I'm glad you had a wonderful Mommy's Day.

I can't say my mom had that pleasure. She's the only one in the house who gets a pay check so we couldn't buy her anything. When my older sister and cousin decided to take her out to eat, Renos (the restaurant that we chose to go to) was out of sour cream, salad dressing, and CHEESE!!!! Everyone had at least one thing that had cheese on it and we couldn't have the cheese because of this tragedy. My mom is on the Adkins diet so she didn't eat any peanuts or anything like that. Instead she got salad, but then she found out that half of the good stuff for the salad was out. My poor mom took it way too well. The sign, outside of Renos, said that "Every mom should have a Renos Mother's Day!" What a load! Our original waiter left us and the waitress that took over couldn't read our orders that he wrote down.

After all of this chaos settled, we ate the food that we got, and started on our way home. Well, of course the bad news couldn't stop with all those problems... Someone took the money we left on the table. Of course that was a great way to end the night, don't you think? We couldn't even get a free meal the next time, because of the money thing.

Well, I'm glad you had a good day. Oh, one more thing. I didn't even wake up yesterday until about 5 pm because my school prom was friday night.

Alright, well later.

Sorry Mom's day wasn't so great for your Mom Capt.

Dharma, I started my Mom's day with some laundry.  Both of those movies are ones that I intend to see.  I heard they are both quite funny.

I'm glad you had a nice day. My day was nice. We flew kites, had pizza and ice cream cones and I got some lovely presents from my daughter. Thank you for the last comment you left me.

For a nasty moment I thought I had forgotten mothers day!

Then I remembered that it's different in different countries. Whew!

Hope all American mothers enjoyed their day.

That made me smile. My father took the girls to Toronto with him while he visited with his mother. My twin and I decided to go shopping and enjoy the peace and quiet of a bookstore, a huge yard sale that didn't necessitate buying some broken toy, and a clothing store where we could actually try clothing on and be leisurely about it...
We had a nice dinner at my parents' place, took the girls back home to my sisters' and settled down for Survivor, too. Kole and I made it home just after 11pm... she'll be tired today but we did have such a good time. (I didn't do any laundry though, although I should have!)

I'm sorry, it was Saturday. I don't know why I said friday.
