The adventures of Mommy woman

My three year old has a bad cold. He usually sounds really cute but the cuteness is almost unbearable with a stuffy nose. Even his future preschool teacher said, "Wow, he's really cute!"

Well, the poor guy, who I have been referring to as coughing boy, is really stuffed up and has sniffles and is coughing like crazy. He just had a sniffling and coughing fit and I asked him if he was okay. He replied, "I'm okay. I just have snickles."

I personally have never heard of a "snickle" before I think it is a sniffle paired with a cough. Not sure, but he claims to have it. I had to write this down before I forgot about it. It is far too easy to forget the cute little words they make up. You get so busy nursing them back to health that you sometimes miss the cuteness involved.

Oh, he also said his "musmels" hurt. That is his speak for muscles. It is really bad when your snickles act up and make your musmels hurt! Oh boy do I need some Tylenol!

I'm running on pure caffeine today. Getting a little jittery now. Hopefully I'll have some dinner soon and will mellow out a little for this evening. Snickle boy looks pretty droopy so I think he will conk out earlier tonight. I will just have to let everyone know that if coughing boy is asleep, I need to do likewise. Feels like having a newborn again!

Thanks for the well wishes dharma. Sorry to hear of your computer fatality. Glad you got a replacement.

Oh man, do I remember those days...napping when your baby naps...perpetual exhaustion, as I recall.

He's probably beat as well, poor little thing.

The "snickles" are getting better. He is still a coughing boy but not nearly as bad. His big brother just had a follow up for an ear infection. The Dr said the infection is gone but he still has fluid in there which might impede his hearing. Now I feel bad because we kept yelling at him when he kept saying "huh?" We thought he wasn't paying attention but the poor thing really couldn't hear!

They are the 2 sweetest little guys in the world IMO (of course). The sun has been out so they got to play outside with friends a bit the last couple of days. That really improves their moods and their "snickles" I am incredibly fortunate and am thankful for every day I have with them.
