The adventures of Mommy woman

My 36th birthday is coming up next month and whenever anyone asks me what I want, I blank.  So I thought I would write down things that I thought of today before they are lost in my pregnancy brain.

Usually I ask for my favorite carrot cake.  This year I would prefer ice cream sundaes.  I have been craving ice cream non stop since I've been pregnant and it is usually nice and hot for my birthday.

I actually have some jewelry now but could really use a jewelry cleaner and a nice jewelry box.

One thing I could use for the baby that I haven't purchased yet is a Jumperoo.  I could also use an extra Diaper Genie.  I have one for upstairs but could use one for downstairs too.

Coffe and chocolate are always safe gifts for me too.  My favorite coffee is whole bean Starbucks Breakfast Blend.

Having friends and family just come and visit is the best present as far as I'm concerned.  It will be far too close to baby time to go anywhere.

I hope that helps anyone interested.  Any fellow upcoming birthday boys/girls have any wishes you want to share?

A woman after my own heart!  This year, go for both!  You deserve it!

(I do love carrot cake!)

I do!  I'm terrible when it comes to telling people what I want for my birthday too....I have most of what I want/need, and I feel awful for saying 'I want this/that'...it makes me feel selfish, somehow.  I don't know why.

Anyway, I usually tell people what I like, and let them take it from there.  My wishes this year would be:

Anything from Bath and Bodyworks Pure Romance 'Amber Myrrh' line.  I LOVE that scent, and I love that it's affordable and lasts for a good long while.  It's about the only stuff I can wear that doesn't make me break out, and I use it daily.

I have this thing for funky socks.  Stripey, patterned, knee high, ankle...if it's non-white and non-plain, then I'll like it.  I don't know why I like socks like that, I just do, and I DO wear them.  I've even started knitting my own funky socks, and I've found a method whereby you pick up stitches around the edge of ankle socks and knit a cuff onto them.  I LOVE wild and crazy socks, and I hope I get a pair!

Something that's always a sure-fire wondeful gift for me is anything knitting related.  I've seen some knitting bags recently that I've really liked - one of them was at Wal-Mart.  It's a straw basket exterior, lined with fabric, and inside it has pockets for needles and patterns and things.  It's pretty inexpensive in comparison to some of the bags I've seen (under $20; some of the ones in higher end knitting stores have been $50 - $100), so I'm hoping that someone will be inspired to think of me when they see it.  But, as I said, anything knitting related is always, always a welcome gift.

I think that this year I'd like to go to Baskin Robbins and get a banana split instead of a cake.  I know that my flying lesson is at 0830 and I know too that we're going to the pool that day (Dave's taking a day of leave), but apart from that I have no plans for my 37th on Friday. I'm just going to see what happens as the day passes by!

I am INCREDIBLY excited about flying this plane, though.  I think that this is the best gift I've ever gotten!

Happy birthday early!! Hope the flying lesson is all you hope it will be. Baskin Robbins sounds like an excellent idea!
