The adventures of Mommy woman

This week has been nothing but rain!  I know it is good for all of the vegetation and at least it hasn't been cold, but enough already!  We need the sun back!

The gloomy, rainy days are making me want to do nothing other than sleep.  I can't wait to be able to send the kids back outside to play after school.  Their baseball and tee-ball teams haven't gotten a chance to get going yet.  We need sunshine!

I got my 3rd grader off to school this morning and strongly considered just going back to bed until my kindergartner wakes up.  I decided that would just leave me feeling groggy and unproductive so I got on JU instead.  I guess I am trying to wake my brain up since the combo of rainy weather and pregnancy brain has left me feeling very foggy this week.

I am soooo hoping we have sunshine on Saturday!

We are having the same weather here....been digging ditches for drainage in it.....I think Ohio is made out of clay..and when its wet, it stays on your shoes and makes them weigh about 10 pounds each.

But the ground digs easy so I guess its a fair trade off.

I hear the sun is going to make an appearance here on Sat too....we'll see.

I think Ohio is very similar to the Detroit area. We even have that clay so I totally can sympathize with the 10lb. shoes. We will both have to do our sunshine dances for the rest of the week!

We have the red clay as well. But the worse clay I have seen is out in California. When it rains (rarely), that stuff just sticks to everything!

I am with you. I was excited when I woke up to sunshine this morning, but as soon as I got out of the shower it had gone in again. I feel like it has been raining for like a month straight! I am also hoping for a sunny weekend.

The rain left us yesterday ( yea ) sunshine and mid 70's for the rest of the week!!! I'm gonna break out the old Convertible fer sure ( of course that means it'll rain )

The bad part about that is now I'll have to cut the grass again ( I liked the drought conditions we had and the monthly grass clipping, with the recent rains it's more like every week )

Oh well, it could be worse..........

Yeah, our grass is getting ridiculous! I shouldn't write or say it out loud, but the sun is actually out right now and it feels great! It isn't supposed to last though. We are due for severe storms this afternoon through tomorrow. Oh well, hopefully it will hold out long enough for me to walk the kids home from school.

My parents live in your part of the country. They live in NW Ohio. Talking to my father yesterday he was telling me how much rain they been getting. He said it's been a steady rain for days.

Since I live in a desert I wish it would rain here. But I really shouldn't complain too much since people here can't drive on DRY pavement.

Do your kids like the rain?

And on the other side of the world, here in Sydney, Australia, we are in desperate need of any rain we can get. We're heading towards the start of winter (in two weeks time) and the temperature today is a lovely 22 degrees celsius or about 72 degrees farenheit.

They like rain because they get to play Gamecube if the weather doesn't permit them to go outside We have been bummed that baseball practices and games have been rained out for the last week.

It was 59 F and rainy here and it is almost Summer!
