The adventures of Mommy woman

It is a good thing I don't have anything more thought intensive than laundry planned for today.  I woke up feeling foggy brained.  Do you ever have one of those mornings that you just feel hazy?

I went to bed with a bad sinus headache.  The weather has changed for the better which I won't complain about but any big change usually means big pain for me for a day or so.  I also had some lower back pain that was keeping me from floating off to sleep.  I usually sleep on my stomache but am getting to the point where the baby won't allow that.

So I tossed and turned.  If my head was comfortable, my back wasn't and vice versa.  It felt like the alarm went off the moment I drifted off.  I'm sure I got some sleep but it sure doesn't feel that way.  I guess I better start getting used to the foggy brain again since it will probably be a constant state for a while after the baby comes.

So if I write something that doesn't make any sense here on JU today, or if I am just not around, chalk it up to my foggy brain.

Is that like the 'Brain Cloud' in Joe versus the Volcano?

That's the worst when you feel like you just got to sleep when the alarm goes off. You know that you probably slept more than five minutes but it sure doesn't feel like it. Maybe you can take a little nap this afternoon.

Also if you don't have one already look for one of those long body pillows. They are awesome for pregnant sleep. You lay on your left side hold onto it and put it between your knees. It helped me a lot.

I'll second this one. My wife had one for the last two pregnancies and it made a big difference in how she slept. Should could sleep on her side without the back problems that baby's weight added into the mix.

Then she continued to use it as a "huggy" at night 'cause she says I snore too loud.

I'll have to get one of those pillows. One of my neighbors mentioned it too.

Thanks!

I know the feeling. Usually after a few too many beers the night before.

It almost did feel like a hang over. I caught a 15min. snooze on the couch then walked my son to school. I feel a lot better now. Not that I think my brain is working any better but I feel a little less foggy.

I hope you feel better quickly.

On the topic of body pillows (I'm a pillow person...can't get enough of 'em) I bought this several months ago Link and it's been pretty nice. If I had control of creating the product I would have made it a bit cushier and fluffier, but it's still been a huge help to my own finicky sleeping position needs.

I do recommend something like it, since it wraps you around on all sides. Good for tossing and turning. Wherever you go, the pillow's there for you!

So I tossed and turned. I know the feeling--did you ever toss and turn throughout bedtime trying to decide whether one pillow, two pillows or none at all would solve the night?
