The adventures of Mommy woman

I had the big ultrsound this morning.  Everything looks perfectly normal.  When the technician focused on the nether regions, guess what...there was something missing!  It's a girl!

It was a very clear picture.  So clear that they can see the chambers and vessels of the heart.  The technician pointed everything out clearly and even did a video tape for us.

I am in shock.  Ryan stated this morning that it would be a girl.  Alex still figured it would be a boy so I get to surprise him when I pick him up from school.

We aren't going to paint the room pink or anything but it is quite certain we will be welcoming Ashley Grace Wardell this August.  I just can't believe it!  It will be the first girl in Brad's family as far back as they can trace.

Awesome Jill!!! I am so happy for you guys. Girls are a lot of fun (and I am already finding out how different from boys they are!). I am so glad that everything looks good and you have a healthy little bundle of joy in there! Congrats again, so glad everything looks fine.

I am so happy for you! It should definitely be a change to have another girl in your household. Congrats!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to change the colors of the baby blanket slightly to make them a little more feminine, and man, do I ever have a ton of patterns for little girls clothes and hats!

I'm so excited I'm almost crying!

Awesome!  Congratulations!

When you said about all the boys in Brad's family, I thought of telling you about my Aunt (4 boys, 5 Grandsons, and then the youngest boy had his first - a girl!), but figured wait and see.  Seems truth is stranger than fiction!

That is going to be one spoiled little girl!  2 Big Brothers, a doting dad, and a passle of Wardells that are going to love her andprotect her.

I'm jealous. Me - three boys. How fun! You can buy little pink rosebud outfits and dolls and paint her nails and put ribbons in her hair.

Congratulations!

Thanks all. I am excited, anxious, happy, scared, but most of all relieved that she looks like she has all the right stuff in all the right places and is developing normally. I will probably be dangerous with buying her outfits. I so look forward to doing her hair and seeing what a Wardell girl will look like.

She will most certainly be doted on. We will have to do our best to try not to spoil her rotten. I don't think I will truly believe it until I see her.

It will certainly be an adventure!

I used the Futuraumoter that L Ron left me and took a picture of her in 20 years.  Here ya go:

Wow! We'll have to lock her up if she looks like that!

Congratulations to your family. What a relief it must be to see everything progressing nicely. Isn't it cool how they can show you everything now with the ultrasounds.

What a beautiful name you have picked.

What a beautiful name you have picked.

Why thank you Kelly! We both loved that name when we were expecting our first and still love it now so felt like it must be right. All of the granparents are thrilled!

Beautiful name, congratulations! We have two boys, then our girl, and then another boy. So yeah, our little girl is in charge. She has me wrapped around her little finger.

Considering that I didn't like the boy name that you picked, I'm glad it's a girl!  You need to do all the pink frilly stuff before she has a chance to object.  Once they get a bit older, they don't let you pick out their clothes and it becomes a lot less "fun".  Hopefully she doesn't look too much like Brad....just think of Brad as a girl...not that good....except for maybe his legs...
