I thought I would share this with my
fellow carboholics. I recently changed my way of eating drastically. I am a
person that loves a cup of coffee and something sweet for breakfast. Not a big
breakfast eater. The thought of eggs for breakfast didn't sound great to me but
when I was told that up to 6 eggs a week was quite healthy and if I ate an egg
for breakfast I would find I was less hungry and would burn more fat and less
muscle, I figured I would try it out.
I alternate an egg breakfast with a
low fat cheese breakfast and am not hungry until well into the lunch hour. I am
losing some weight but have seen a much more instant change in the way my
clothes are fitting. I don't crave sweets like I did before either. An egg,
toasted light bread and an orange (not juice) seem to be the perfect breakfast
for me.
I found that I was eating way too many starches and sweets and
not enough fruits, veggies and proteins. I am now eating less fat and calories
and am much less hungry than before. I still have my coffee but switched from
cream to skim milk. I don't eat sandwichs (too much bread and I would tend to
put mayo on them) and don't cook with butter or oil. Hopefully I will see a big
payoff come Summer but it has got to be helping my health no matter what.
