The adventures of Mommy woman
Published on February 10, 2006 By JillUser In Blogging

I am sitting here literally waiting for water to boil.  It is 7PM and I am about to boil some green beans and am waiting for my chicken to get done roasting.  It smells sooo good!

Brad is home (that's a first for a long time) and is on the couch working from his laptop.  Alex and Ryan are playing on the computer.  They must be really distracted because I haven't heard a single "Mommy!  I'm starving!" yet.

I have to make a cake for my mom and wrap her birthday present.  I have laundry to put away (as usual) and hope to get a little scrapbooking done.  It is so dark already that it feels like I should be going to bed.

I plan to sleep in tomorrow.  Alarm clock be damned!  I don't have anything going on until we have to leave at about 3 for my mom's birthday dinner.  Should be a relaxing weekend.  It's about time!

hehehe... I plan to sleep in tomorrow, as it's my last weekend off for probably another 9 months or so, but I can tell you now, I doubt it will actually happen! Kids.

Sounds like all is well with you. Good stuff!

Way to go!  Tell brad to get off the stupid computer and get some sleep!

As for me, we got a major (for us) snow storm coming.  But it is not supposed to hit until after I get my son!  Maybe we cant get him back on time?

Poetic justice!  Now grab that notebook and blame it on me!  I told you to!  He can ban me, but he needs the rest! Doctor's orders!

Yikes!  I certainly hope you rest up this weekend then!  I know what you mean about the kids.  I'm trying to bank some sleeping in time before the baby comes   Luckily, the boys just get up and play with each other until Brad and I are ready to get up.  They are great about that.

Too late.  He ate dinner and transfered himself to the PC in his home office.  Hey, if I can get him to bed before 1AM I will feel triumphant.

Hope you have a great time with your son.  We are only supposed to get some flurries.  No real accumulation.  My dad got my snowblower in working order just in case.

Your supper sounds good! I love chicken and
your home sounded like a nice enviornment, more families need that.

Weekends are MEANT for relaxation and de-stressing, so enjoy!

Hehe, I got an early start on mine. Slept in today, my son took me out for breakfast after playing a trick on me,
and then watched a movie on Turner Classic, an old 50's ? movie with vincent Price, Gene Kelly and someone else as
the Three Muskateers, lots of lovely Technicolor!

Yummm...I want some roasted chicken!

I am so pooped by Friday night that it is lucky if I can make it until 9 pm.
Have a fun weekend.

Isn't that the best...to be able to sleep in on a weekend? It feels sooo nice after a long week of working.

And Happy Birthday to your Mom! I hope you all enjoy the birthday dinner.

Thanks Trudy. We're home bodies. I pretty much live in the kitchen. I have a rolltop desk in the kitchen where I keep my computer and all my paperwork. Of course I am always cooking, cleaning or restocking in the kitchen.

It really isn't a hard thing to do if you have the chicken ahead of time. I just stick some pats of butter on it, season it, and let it cook. It made just enough for my hungry boys (including Brad) and a little left over.

And Happy Birthday to your Mom! I hope you all enjoy the birthday dinner.

We had a very nice dinner prepared by my sister, mom enjoyed her presents and we all exchanged Valentines goodies too. It was a good day!

We were both up at a little after six am. But we got ready to go out this morning, and ended up spending time at the library, a quick visit with my parents, and we were even able to a have a nice long nap this afternoon.

iT was great. Sounds like you had a great time, too.
