The adventures of Mommy woman

I finally have a snow blower this year after 10yrs and I love it! I got up at 6:30AM, put oil and gas in it, plugged it in for electric start, pushed the start button and it started! I had the whole drive, our front walk and the sidewalks in front of our house and that of 3 neighbors done in under an hour. No back ache. No burning lungs and sore hands. No chugging heart. Just a nice clean driveway

It is still exercise though. It is a big snow blower but we also have a big drive. I like a really clean walkway so I cleaned up with the shovel after I had finished with the blower. My neighbors seemed grateful that I did their sidewalks for them.

We still haven't had a storm here in lower MI that rivals the ones I grew up with up north. My Dad had a mega snowblower with a protector on it that went over his head to keep the snow from going in his face. We needed it up there. I really haven't needed a snow blower until now. We had a drive about half the size of the one we have now so it was managable with a shovel. We also had fantastic neighbors who would either plow for us or lend us their blower the couple of times it was bad.

Looks like it might really be winter here in MI now. I hope it doesn't last more than a couple of months. I have been getting used to the unusually warm weather. To those of you who are shoveling this time of year, take it easy. It is hard work and too many people over do it each year.

Best wishes!

Our driveway is 210 feet long, so we have a plow on our tractor to plow it. Snowblowers are nice when it snows a lot though, since you can then blow the edge snow further back...like into the neighbors yard or something
